Cutie Pie

I love this little pattern, but I have to admit that I did a crocheted stitch for the berry bobbles instead of knit. It was just so much easier. The original pattern is here. Adapt it if you want. :)

A Cloche in Pink

The hat pattern is the Flower or Lizzy Hat. It was quite simple to make (crochet) and very fun and quick. I used Caron Soft in the pink and then rimmed it with a little fun fur. It could have been a little bigger. Guess I'll just have to make another one. I LOVE crocheting cloches.

Trussst in Me!

PATTERN: The Slithering Scarf by Sarah Bradberry
YARN: Red Heart
NEEDLES: #8 dpn's

LOVED: Enjoyed the pattern. It was easy to follow and fun to do. J1 really wanted to keep it. I guess that's one more for Christmas! I also enjoyed coming up with something a little different for the eyes. They are done double crochet around a button ring. I think it gives it that "trussssst in me" look.

HATED: I got a little yarn sick with the colors and I'm never a fan of working with acrylic.

I put a little pill bottle in the bottom of the tail with some rice in it - so it rattles.

I made them from acrylic yarn so that they can be abused. Wool-Ease would be good as well, though.

Mia Bag (My Design)

This is the one that got away. I really meant to write this pattern out after I made it, but I didn't. Someday I'll have to recreate it. I made it for my cousin, Mia and the handle is surgical tubing (so it wouldn't get all child icky). I knit a circle and then knitted in the round for the purse. I crocheted little flowers for the detailing. I made the flower pattern up on graph paper.

American Girl Doll Clothes

So, my daughter is 17 now, but she still has her American Girl Doll, Samantha. She got her when she was 8 and we've had a lot of fun over the year buying and making clothes for her. Just purchase patterns that are for an 18" doll and they will fit your American Girl doll!

Booga Bag

❤ ❤ ❤ this pattern. I have made it more than once and I'll probably make it again. I've shaved off the fuzz and left the fuzz... I like it both ways. Can you have too many bags?

Celtic Cap

PATTERN: Celtic Cap by Girl from Auntie
YARN: Peace Fleece (Siberian Midnight) from lys
NEEDLES: #8 dpn's

LOVED: This worked up so nice. Perfect choice of yarn. I love doing cables!
HATED: Hmmm... I wish I'd had a 16" set of #8 circs and it would have been much faster. Also, I hated the directions "knit into the front and back st, pick up the vertical strand..." If it read "knit into the back and front st, pick up the vertical strand..." it would make a lot more sense and would have saved me an hour or so of looking up instructions online to figure out why there was no vertical strand!!!

Lace Leaf Pullover

This is from Loop-d-Loop by Teva Durham. I LOVE the look of this beautiful sweater with the leaf detailing in several places... But, it was a strange pattern. You make the top of the sweater and graft it to the bottom of the sweater. ?

Pumpkin (My Design)

This pumpkin was made simply by single crocheting around and around (increasing stitches and then decreasing to get the ball). I stuffed it lightly with batting and pulled the tail of the yarn around the pumpkin and through the other side to create "segments." Then I just crocheted a little stem. Sorry no pattern.

Teddy Bear

These little teddy bears are adorable! So quick to knit and Joshua sure loves his! I found this pattern in Interweave Knits (Winter, 2005).

Joshua LOVED his bear and told me about the time that he and his bear had been lost in the woods - but that they would never go back in the woods again. I asked him if his bear took care of him, but he told me his bear is a baby so he has to take care of his bear!
